As I begin to write this article I want to wish you a happy spring, but I realize that it is almost May and we are literally staring into the face of summer.What happened to the spring showers and April flowers?Time has once again slipped past bringing another season before we are ready to say goodbye to the current one.
What a wonderful choir year we have had!From kick-off to Reformation to Christmas through Lent and Easter, right into the Kids’ Praise presentation.Never an idle moment.We’ve experienced performances from the Victoria College and Civic Choruses, hosted the Texas A&M Century Singers, and have a booking with the Big Band from Sweden scheduled for July 17, 2012.Through these events and our daily lives we must continue to ask ourselves, “Has the light of Christ shown through me?Did I keep Christ at the center?”I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.In soli Deo Gloria!
Our programming changes a bit as we enter the month of May and move toward June.Kids’ Praise and Tone Chimes will take a break from rehearsals and reconvene in September.Sr. Choir will continue through early June; then we will take a break and resume weekly rehearsals with our annual kick-off dinner at the end of August.Watch this space for dates and times.
Sr. Choir continues rehearsals at 7 pm in the choir room on Wednesday evenings.
