To those of you at Our Saviour’s who are homebound and have little or no family to assist you in certain areas, we can help you. If you need groceries, a ride to church or perhaps a little housework done or even a meal because you are not well, please call me at 578-7690 or let the church know. I will try to help and several fine ladies have already offered to assist. If we don’t know you need assistance, we can’t help. Thank you! Elaine Thurman
GIDEON OUTREACH MINISTRY
‘To show the love of Christ by giving of ourselves, our talents and abilities to enrich the lives of others’
A simple bar of soap. A simple bar of soap that we in developed countries take for granted. A simple bar of soap that is a life saving product for third-world countries. A simple bar of soap where in these countries--- if it is available----would cost about a day’s wages. A simple bar of soap which is the first line of defense to combat child mortality around the world.
The very simple gesture of giving someone a bar of soap can give someone the encouragement to present themselves with dignity, keep hands clean and stay healthy. And you can share God's grace and love by providing that simple comfort. And here's how.
You will see the colored baskets around the church for your soap donations. In April, these will be boxed up and sent along with Lutheran World Relief quilts and personal care packages to some of the world's most vulnerable people.
This is another great project for your Sunday School Class, small group, or family to be involved in. The more 4.0-4.1 oz bars of soap in their original wrapping that we can send means that we have a small hand in combating easily preventable diseases that are taking the lives of so many people. And of course your monetary donations are always welcome and can be given at the office.
Outreach is service in action with the motivation of showing God's love to others. And there is no church in Victoria that does it better than Our Saviour's. Your compassion and giving is well known in our community and beyond. We thank the LORD for the opportunities He continues to give us to join Him in His great work of sharing the Gospel with a lost world both in our giving and our going.

Project Assistance
The OSL Men's Group wants the congregation to be aware that we desire to help meet the special needs of widows and others in our church who may need assistance with household repairs and projects. If you will call the church office, the staff can notify us, and we will get a group of men together to help.
