Make your reservations for the Our Saviour’s and community Games Night Party. It will be held on Thursday, March 25^th from 6:00 – 9:30 pm in the Multipurpose Room. It is always so much fun to socialize with fellow church family and our neighbors. Before the fun, there has to be some work. Please help us by donating door prizes, silent auction items and cookies. We cannot do this without your help in your wonderful giving and your time. You always come through for us.

OSL will be hosting our 2^nd annual Springfest to be held Sunday, May 16^th from 11:00 am until 2:00 pm. We will offer BBQ chicken or brisket plates with all the trimmings, live and silent auction, general store, cake walk and children’s games. We will pre-sell tickets and will be happy to give out a bundle for you to sell around town, to your friends, neighbors, etc. Please contact Alan Carroll, Lana Tesch or Kathy Kern or stop by the Information Desk. Tickets will be available for sale mid-February. Ticket price will be $7.00. We will also have fliers to display at businesses if you want to hand them out.

We are in need of auction items, country store items and cakes. If you can donate any of these items, please contact Alan Carroll. If you are blessed with woodworking, quilting or other unique talents please consider donating items to be used in the auctions.

There will also be a sheet at the Information Desk to donate various food items needed for the Springfest. If you are interested in donating the monetary funds for any of these items please sign your name on the sheet at the Information Desk and put your donation in an envelope and write on it “Springfest food donation”. You can drop it either in the offering plate or the collection box at the Information Desk. Below is a current list of items:

The recipients for donations from this year’s Springfest will be: Victoria Senior Citizens 25%, OSL ministries 25%, OSL Gideon program and The Victoria Gabriel program 25% and Golden Crescent Food Bank 25%.

Our next Springfest meeting will be Tuesday, March 23^rd at 6:00pm in the MPR. This is open to all interested people. We will hold monthly meetings on the fourth Tuesday of each month until May. Please join us!

The Service Committee continues to put together hygiene bags for the local shelters, etc. In these bags are the small soaps, shampoos and conditioners from hotels. If you would like to donate to this cause, please drop items off at the office or put them in the basket in the armoire in the Narthex. Your support is greatly appreciated.

The OSLC Property Committee is scheduling a yard work party for March 13^th.  This will include replacing plants as necessary, trimming plants, and mulching the beds.  Helen Boatman has been asked to provide guidance on selecting plants to replace ones that have died and suggestions for other upgrades.  In addition, we are asking for volunteers to “adopt a bed”.   Evelyn Nicholson has suggested the updating of the “adopt a bed” program where individuals would be responsible for weeding, pruning and watering “their” bed.  If you would like to participate in the workday and or “adopt a bed” please let property committee know.
